For Life Cycle it’s all about the bike!
We offer practical, targeted support as part of our “inclusive Cycling Projects” to help people get out on their bikes and enjoy life. These include supported rides for people with disabilities, those recovering from mental health difficulties and for isolated older people. We also work with disadvantaged young people through the Adventure Playgrounds in Bristol.
In addition, we offer City & Guilds training for people who want to learn how to fix bikes with a view to working in the cycle industry. We have free places on our “City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Cycle Mechanics”. We are funded by Weston college and individuals must be 19 + and unemployed, otherwise the course cost is £250 pp for the two-day course.
We also offer City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Cycle Mechanics. This is a 10-day course and is a professional qualification for people working in the cycle industry. The cost is £1000 pp.
