BRAVE Enterprise was established over 30 years ago in Bristol.
Our key aims are to support people who are thinking about becoming self-employed/starting their own business. We also support owners of new and established small businesses. We deliver our services with a mix of group training and one-to-one advice. Anyone can access our start-up services but they must have come up with a business idea.

We offer several services which are on offer to the West of England partners: thinking about business, starting in business workshop, one-to-one business advice and business skills development workshops.
Thinking about Business
A 2 hour workshop for people who are interested in self-employment/starting their own business. This workshop does not go in to the detail of how to set up a business – it is to help individuals gain a better understanding of what is involved and help them understand whether self-employment is the right option for them. The content includes:-
The pros and cons of being your own boss
Is self-employment right for you
Essential preparation – eg market research
How to measure success
The workshop is delivered in Bristol, but could be delivered at other premises provided we receive the funding to do so.

Starting in Business
A full day workshop which is aimed at people who have decided that they want to start their own their business and have a thoroughly researched idea.
We go into much more detail about the detail of how to set up a business including:
Writing a business plan
Sourcing finance
Legal structures
Tax and NI
Financial management
Marketing

One-to-one business advice
A confidential business advice service for people who want to discuss and get advice on a particular issue with their start up or existing business.
We can cover a number of topics, including business planning, business financial issues, marketing advice and legal structures.
